Progression:
Since June 2014, Anthea Missy's developed her unique style by painting on walls and canvas, being able to produce much art on diverse media by mixing ink, spray paint, acrylic paint, synthetic paint, on wood, canvas, plaster, metal, concrete, plastic.
In 2015, she's progressively experienced with bigger surfaces extending her work from simple art on wall to deeper wall preparation and creation of a unique universe in a neighborhood, considering the architectural components and audience.
In Phnom Penh she's relentlessly practiced with all sorts of walls’ states making her a true muralist.
Her work which started with abstract organic shapes has extended to comics pop figurative scenes sometimes flirting with political art with works like 'Love Bomb' a positive work made in Brussels after the attacks.
For 2016 Anthea Missy has extended her skills to graphic design with intense training in Photoshop, Illustrator and Final Cut in order to multiply the diversity of media for her art, thus being the sole designer of her art from inception to production.
Ever-challenging herself, she's set to create large murals on water in Brussels in collaboration with the community, the port of Brussels and the city to create two murals of respectively 315m2 and 210m2, her biggest project so far.
She plans to attend Sliema Arts Festival Malta in July 2016 as well as the Mood Indigo Arts Festival in Mumbai at the end of the year with footfall of more than 100 000 students of India's new generation.
She continues to prospect to create large artwork anywhere on the globe.

Ever-challenging herself, she's set to create large murals on water in Brussels in collaboration with the community, the port of Brussels and the city to create two murals of respectively 315m2 and 210m2, her biggest project so far.
She plans to attend Sliema Arts Festival Malta in July 2016 as well as the Mood Indigo Arts Festival in Mumbai at the end of the year with footfall of more than 100 000 students of India's new generation.
She continues to prospect to create large artwork anywhere on the globe.

1) Art is performed by everyone in many different forms and enhances our lives and society. It provides mental and physical benefits, stress relief, and self-confidence.
2) Art has been an important part of human history dating back thousands of years, starting from early cave paintings and developing into different mediums over time. It has served as a form of communication and expression.
3) Art plays a large role in development and education, helping humans and society advance architecturally, technologically, and intellectually over time. Without art, the world would be less cultured, advanced, and meaningful.
Mark rothko
Mark Rothko rejected being called an abstractionist, instead seeing his work as conveying basic human emotions like tragedy and ecstasy. He felt the modern world left people empty and his goal was for his paintings to elicit a spiritual experience for the viewer as he experienced while painting. Rothko eventually abandoned figures as he felt they could no longer convey emotion after World War 2. He was deeply concerned with how his large-scale paintings were presented to viewers, wanting them displayed at eye-level to share an intimate experience rather than being decorative. Rothko ultimately accepted a commission for The Rothko Chapel to create a non-denominational space for meditation and reflection on life.

Mark rothko
Mark Rothko was a Russian-born American painter and a founding member of the abstract expressionist movement. He is known for his large-scale paintings consisting of colored rectangles or squares arranged in horizontal tiers on a solid colored background. In the 1940s, Rothko began experimenting with mythological themes and different techniques that led to his signature format of floating color fields. By the 1950s, his paintings typically featured only a few large rectangles of color to achieve a meditative, transcendent experience for the viewer. Rothko sought to express emotional and spiritual themes through his abstract works and did not want to explain his paintings, believing interpretations should come from the viewer's own experience.
Claus oldenburg
Claus Oldenburg is an American sculptor born in 1929 who is still living. He graduated from Yale University and studied art in Chicago before moving to New York, where he became involved in the Pop Art movement. Oldenburg is known for sculptures of everyday objects on a much larger or smaller scale made of materials like metal, wood, cloth, and clay. Some of his most famous works include a large trowel, knife slicing through a wall, and a garden hose, reimagining common items in massive steel sculptures. Jackson pollock
Jackson Pollock was an American painter born in 1912 who helped develop abstract expressionist painting. He studied art in New York and married, moving to Long Island where he created his most famous works. Pollock was known for laying canvases on the floor and dripping, pouring, and splattering paint onto them in an abstract and spontaneous style that came to be known as "action painting." Some of his most famous masterpieces include Blue (Moby Dick), Cathedral, and Lavender Mist: Number 1. Pollock pioneered new painting techniques and was the first American abstract painter to gain recognition in Europe.
